My kids are addicted to this game. When we got it we had some issues accessing the 2 player mode. I contacted the manufacturer who said I needed to purchase xbox gold or have access live. I told him my 8,6, and 5 year old did not need that and on the back of the package it shows you can play 2 player with out it. He was adamant that I needed to purchase it. So, as I was preparing to send it back, my 8 year old goes to the zombie section to this thing that looks like 2 old tv’s on top of each other and is able to access the split screen from there! I was doing the same thing from the plant side and it kept telling me “cannot connect to EA server”. Now they are addicted to this and they will clean anything, help with anything, and are pretty much well behaved in order to play this game!

She isn’t really a gamer and she doesn’t enjoy many shooter-type games

I am not one to usually review things, but my wife insisted I post this review.

Grandsons love it, safe for kids, great colors, even "bad buys" are "cute"

My seven year old grandson loves this game, as does my eight year old one; they play together online (with parental oversight!) because they live some distance apart. With headsets and microphones, they talk, laugh, giggle and have a great time. Perfect way for two cousins to hang out when they are unable to see each other. It is not gory, bloody or scary and the colors and graphics are amazing; I watch the screen while my grandchildren play and am amazed at how “pretty” this game is (I am not a gamer at all – barely know how to play a DVD on my Xbox One), so the “pretty” is just my take on it. Even the bad guys are cute, so nothing scary for kids at all.

Very fun game with lots of depth and customization. There are many multiplayer modes in this game along with single player story type missions. Every multiplayer mode can also be played solo with bots, which is really nice if you want to practice before playing against other people.

they just build in more of a story progression with some really cool single player missions

Easter bunny brought this, we are big fans of the 1st one. The 1st one is built around the multiplayer, and that’s still here in the 2nd one, they just build in more of a story progression with some really cool single player missions. It said you could easily port over your gw 1 characters, have not been able to get that to work yet. :/

I bought this for my kids as a Christmas gift. I am not a big gamer but my kids (15, 10, 8, 4) are. They loved the Plants vs. Zombies game on the iPad and figured this would be a fun game too. Although this game is different than the iPad version, the kids love it. They play this game almost daily and even my husband loves to play this game with the kids. His favorite character to play with is the sunflower. For some reason the kids get a kick out of this. Fun family game!

This game is a huge improvement over GW1. I like the open world and the ability to fight the super mobs from each side. Was many hours of fun with the kids.

This game is just as amazing as the first one with a small campaign for each team (plants and then zombies) I love the campaign addition but wish it was longer. For the record I am a grown adult and I am in love with this game. It Modern Warfare dumbed down in a fun way!

Great game kept the kids busy and excited

Great game kept the kids busy and excited. Finding Local multiplayer was a chore (which is the double tv icon). The wave challenges are fun yet difficult.
