This is by far my favorite of the current Expedition line. I think Timex does the basic quartz field watch very well and this one is just dripping in vintage character.

Great watch for its price!

Just received the watch today. Very pleased with the quality for its price point and it’s got a nice and simply look to it. Though upon trying out the indiglo feature I noticed that mine did not light the entire face of the watch and there is a cutoff near the bottom where it is not lit at all (pictured). Somewhat disappointing but then again I believe in ‘you get what you pay for’ and I also probably won’t use the function all too often to really care. It does have a fairly noticeable ‘tick’ if you put your ear up to it in a relatively quiet room but you wouldn’t notice it while wearing it out and about. Overall a very nice watch, just with a couple minor flaws.

Gorgeous watch. I own a few other Timex watches and this one just instantly became my new favorite. I love the black face with contrasting bright hands. The “indiglo” is very bright and lights up the entire face, not just the hands. Something I didn’t notice until I received it: there’s actually a date display just left of the 3. The band has a range of sizes (and it thankfully does fit my small-medium wrist). The only problem I currently have is that the band is fairly hard to get on and off at the moment. But, with enough use, I’m sure it will soften and become more maneuverable.

Best style for the price in watches

I really like the style of this classic military field watch. I like the black dial, green band, and the yellow second hard most of all. It looks really cool and I have received nothing but compliments on it since (which is cool considering it’s a $35 watch).

nice watch, get a band!

Can’t beat this for the price (the Black/Grey model). It is more of a brassy/nickel color than the bright silver of the product photo. And the black leather band is not so bad in person. Still, this

I’ve owned several Timex watches over the years and I have to say this is one of the best! It looks so much better in person and the band itself isn’t as itchy or stiff as I thought, and in fact, quite comfortable for a nylon material. My last two Timex watches had the silicon band and I got used to them but this band is light and durable and comfortable; not as stiff as I thought. The nice matte finish is nice, and the face is easy to read with the white numbers and markers very visible. The Indiglo feature works great and as for the loud ticking that some people experience, I have to say that unless you put it within 2 inches of your ear it’s not that loud, at least I don’t think so. My other watch is a heavier Swiss Victorinox Swiss Army chrono that I only wear as a dress watch, but I can see this Timex getting more and more wear time as I go….one of the best Timex watches in this line so far in my opinion!

An excellent watch

This watch is exactly what I was looking for. I can see it with or without glasses, the date has a fast change feature, the second hand is unobtrusive in dark green, the glass is hard and strong (not cheap plastic), the indiglo works great, it is not a loud ticker, it keeps good time, the band fits me on the very last hole (I have very large wrists and that is unusual) and the “Nato” style of band is much better than the old two strap version as it suspends the watch slightly off the wrist… nice dark and muted colors, the phosphorescent paint on the hands stays lit and visible for many hours… I would estimate about 12 hours before too dim to see. Overall, a very nice watch.
