The Owl Spotter

A great spotlight that sends a beam out as far as the eye can see. I point it at the side of our house from 100 yards away and it lights up the entire side of the house. I use the Stanley mostly as a spotlight when I take out the 2 small Maltipoos at night. Definitely bright enough to spot the Owls at 100 yards away in the tree. Here’s a picture of an owl spotted at 30 yards away.

I use this spotlight when I use my boat at night, to locate markers. Powerful enough to see markers 100 yards off.

I shopped for what seemed like forever to find the perfect all season and versatile spotlight, the Stanley SL10LEDS did not disappoint. I live in a rural area where seeing across a field 250 yards into the treeline is important. While being able to use at a long distance was very important, as important was the ability to maneuver a seamlessly light in weight for easy one handed operation. This one did it all. I could not be happier. It even came with a detachable red lens. The body of this light is made of a hard durable ABS plastic, the fold out clip on top for use as a prop id made of metal (can even be used as a weapon if you find the need), The two brightness levels are controlled by the trigger. Pull the trigger once for bright, pull again to dim, and again to turn off. as for the battery, It seems great also. I have not charged it since the initial charge and have probably used it for a total of 3-4 hours in the past couple weeks off and on, and it is still as bright as the first time I turned it on. Again, I am glad I got this one from the several I was evaluating. It definitely does not disappoint.

Buy it, right now!

It’s super bright. Comes with dc and ac charger and red lens. The flip up thing is an inverted stand, which is nice. Keep it by the back door for coyotes, walking and take it in the boat. We can see clearly for 5 acres. Glad we spent a little extra to get a tgood one.

This light is plenty bright and I love the 2 brightness levels, it works just great. My only complaint is it is not even rain resistant, so don’t try to use it for an emergency in wet weather. Here in the PNW we have been having rain and flooding, I used this outside in the rain while we were trying to divert water away from a vacation cabin.

Extremely powerful and light-weight lantern. I can clearly illuminate the tops of 100 feet tall fir trees. I was going to keep it in my truck, but the instructions warn against that due to damaging the batteries and potentially starting a fire. It puts out enough light to warm up my hands. It is so bright I believe I can use it for self defense by blinding an attacker.

Whoa, this light lights up the neighborhood. Love the versatility of being rechargeable. This is a spotlight, not a floodlight. I use this light every evening when my pups need to relieve themselves. I live in the country where bears, coyotes, deer etc. roam. This light shines farther than i can physically see. SUPER!

Bought this light to have readily accessible spotlight for our pontoon boat, which we take out at night fairly often on Indian River Bay, Delaware. We have GPS on board, but it’s still necessary to actually eye-ball the markers and buoys. Otherwise, you’ll run a real risk of running over/into them in the narrow channels at night.

and found it to be superior in brightness

Tested this against others, and found it to be superior in brightness. I like it so far, we’ll see how long it lasts and how often I actually use it. So far so very good. Fits hand well, like simple standard jack for power, usable mobile and at home, has built in stand which is very useful. Drawback is danger of sharp edge on end of stand fingers, but I’ll sand those down and not worry about it. Also, will likely see over time the stand flipping out on its own. I already anticipate needing a ‘rubber band’ across the top to hold it down when in use or mobile with it in the woods. Still give it a freaking 5+ due to the absolute brightness of the spot and focus. Have found 100-200 yards away, I could see someone as if it was, well 1 million candles of light power (whatever that means), better maybe than daylight due to spot on and then dark contrast around that point of interest. Definitely give it a good review.
