Customer Reviews

Very Nice, but not what I was after.

I will try to be fair in my review, but I did return the product for reasons that many people may not care about. It is extremely powerful. It is easy to charge with the usb charger cable included. It is quite sturdy and seems very well made. When I purchased mine I could not tell from the description if it had separate controls (buttons) for power and “mode”. I want one that has separate controls at this price point. I use it on low power in most cases and do not want an errant power off-and-back-on to send blinding flashing lights at me. Further, if I need the blinding flashes for an intruder, I don’t want to cycle through 5 modes to find it. Again most people will not take issue with this but for this price I want a product that eliminates these problems. In all other respects I would give it 5 stars.

I have had the LC130 for a few weeks and it has performed fine. A few points:

First Week Impressions

I’ve been using this in an auto shop for about a week. It’s definitely bright, lighting up the engine bay and underside of cars like it’s daylight. Also the battery life is plenty adequate for my usage level. Overall, I love it! My only complaints so far are that the head of the flashlight is so much larger than the handle that it makes it a bit awkward, especially when putting it in my cargo pocket, and it’s too easy to accidentally switch between modes. Since it’s only been a week and I haven’t really had much chance to *really* abuse it, I may update this review at a later date. 😛

A note about changing modes

Solid and well built, like all Anker products.

Nice solid flashlight

This is the brightest flashlight I’ve owned. I’m accustomed to using various sized Maglites. They still have their places in my arsenal. But what I really like about this one is the stout size. Yet it’s mass is hefty.

Flashlight Fail – Anker quickly replaced the failed unit though

Plugged the unit into my USB port on my computer and got a flash, some smoke and a nice burning electronics smell. At least the computer is fine, but the flashlight was fried. The USB cable is pretty cheap and flimsy – maybe why is failed?

So far I have had this item for about 4 or so months and work in a mechanic shop so it has taken its beating already falling from lifts have water oil and other chemicals on it and still continues to perform. I have now purchased two more for co workers due to the fact that the competitor in the shop is stream light and those are about double if not triple the cost overall it exceeded my expectations with the safety of a 18 month warranty

Anker makes great products!

Another great product from Anker. I have several of their products and I am pleased with all of them. This is the best one yet. The packaging reminds me of Apple, very nice. The flashlight looks and feels like a high quality product and the beam is very bright. Nice to have the battery included.
