If you’re looking at the camera, you probably already know loads about it so not much point in reviewing the actual camera but as a refurb, this is great.

I just received my Nikon D3300 and I couldn’t be happier! I got the refurbished camera, because let’s face it, it’s moderately cheaper than a new camera, and as someone looking to start in photography, I figured I can start with a refurbished entry camera. In any case, the camera itself works great. What’s in the box, I may ask? I received the D3300 body, the 18-55 mm lense, USB chord, battery, battery charger, and the strap. The only thing I was disappointed in was the strap. I recieved what seemed to be a cheap camera strap. It was black, with yellow stripes, and unlike the original Nikon straps, the logo wasn’t printed/embroidered anywhere. However, I did contact the seller and thanks to their quick response, they will be giving me a $10 refund for the inconvenience. Which is nice, I suppose. Overall, I will probably be buying from the seller again in the future.

Excellent DSLR for Beginners

If you are looking to upgrade from your point and shoot camera or cell phone to develop your photography skills, then this is the perfect camera for you! I purchased this certified refurbished, which comes with 18-55mm lens, in September. It has satisfied my needs as a new photographer through its inclusion of fundamental DSLR features and user-friendliness. The only distinction between buying new and refurbished, is that the certified refurbished comes in a white box and it does not come with a user manual. However, Nikon does an excellent job of providing videos, reviews, and other resources for their users so you can easily find the manual for the Nikon D3300 online.

Fantastic starter camera.

Camera arrived in great shape- couldn’t distinguish it from a new one. There was a small learning curve being that this was my first DSLR. I learned about some of the cameras functionality by the way of youtube, and I was up and taking pictures in no time. The kit lens is pretty good for the price, but I can’t wait to start investing in some nicer glass. I don’t want to invest too much, as I see myself getting a full frame camera in the future. The battery lasted a whole 7 day trip into the desert without having to recharge it. The camera is pretty lightweight, and easy to grip. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting out in photography.

Great camera!

I did quite a bit of research before finally deciding on a camera to purchase and I feel like I made a great choice. As an entry-level DSLR camera this one is easy to understand and relatively easy to use. My camera came with a battery and charger, neckstrap, a 18-55 mm lens, and cables. It did not come with manuals. Manuals can be found on the Nikon site.

but the images captured with this camera doesn’t look like it. The images are very sharp and detailed

Wow is just what I can say. I know this is an entry level camera, but the images captured with this camera doesn’t look like it. The images are very sharp and detailed. I’m very pleased with the build quality of the camera too it is very light and It is also feature packed. This is a Good bang for your buck. You won’t regret buying this camera.

Worth every penny but not for videos

Do Not buy this for recording videos. Battery life is not for it. Unless you buy two batteries. It only recorded for 10mins But Of course I still love it! I got this just to take outdoor pictures. And fashion photos Not for video I love how all my pictures come out every detail so professional. If you just want to take photos for a blog or what ever this is good. If you want a more professional look maybe for a photoshoot if your shooting a model or for photography then invest in different lenses for this camera although the lenses that it comes with may do the job you just need open studios space and good lighting and BAM !

The D3300 is a great camera to start learning photography with! This is the first DSLR camera I have ever owned and I plan on moving up the line in the future. Once you own a Nikon, its hard to go to anything else. I decided to get a refurbished camera and lens just in case I was unsuccessful in learning how to use it. The only problem I have is when I’m recording videos, you can hear the lens adjusting the auto focus by making these little twitching sounds. I normally wouldn’t mind but you can hear the twitching sounds in the video and after awhile, that becomes the focus instead of the video. Has anyone else ever had that problem? I thought it would have stopped eventually but now that its been past the 90 day warranty, I doubt I can do much about it. Well, I assume there is always the option of taking it to a repair shop lol.

Amazing when you know how!!

This is a great camera, but has a serious learning curve compared to a more simple point and shoot. It’s much harder to use than a point and shoot, but when you take your first good picture in raw, it will blow your mind. (Feels like a hole in one!). The shots I take are of textured textiles, and I realize this can be very difficult for a newcomer. I am a newbie to DSLR’S, so I cannot comment any further on the quality of the camera.
